Height is a concern to millions of people around the world. There are literally thousands of books and websites that will provide tips to increase height. If possible, stay with as many dairy products as you can as well as increase your protein intake. High proteins will fuel your body and help you build and maintain muscle. Calcium of course, will help with the bones. You might not gain any height through calcium, but it will help keep you from losing any though.

Another aspect of healthy living is to stop smoking cigarettes, or anything else you might be sparking on these days. The fact is, smoking will stunt your growth. Yes, you mother was right. Not only that your muscles are receiving less oxygen.

Oxygen is needed to make you muscles grow. When you consider that muscles are responsible for height as well as bones, then this makes sense. Another factor is that no one will notice how tall you are, or aren’t when you’re wheeling an oxygen bottle around behind you.

For you now, let’s just say it’s the difference between 1-2 inches depending on how much you slouch. Besides the physical height you lose by slouching, the way others perceive you is being smaller than you actually are. Anyone can be 6’ tall if they carry themselves that way, remember that.

Not only will they improve your posture, but one of the side effects of all this stretching is the possibility of gaining a little height by decompressing your spine and knees.

Mother earth might have given us life, chocolate and the Beatles, but she also gave us gravity. Some people can lose up to half an inch between the time they wake up in the morning until they go to bed at night. So to counter act all this gravity stuff, stretch those joints back out, show the planet who’s the boss!
